SAUS IN DOWNTOWN BOSTON

ABOUT

Saus was founded by three local university grads who were ousted from their company due to the 2008 recession. With the help of their friends and family, they were able to fulfill a common dream of opening up a teeny tiny restaurant.

We set out to provide inspired, made-from-scratch food in a casual counter setting. Made from scratch is so important to us that if we don’t make it ourselves, someone else local does. Like our bread — we’re no bakery, so we use Central Bakery in Cambridge.

We believe in the power of the condiment, which is why we have so many sauces on our menu. Yup, we make that ketchup from scratch. (Get it? Saus!)

In 2018, we opened our second location in Somerville. Nestled within Bow Market in Union Square, our second baby (affectionately coined Saus at Bow Market) is the same core menu but 100% vegetarian. And upon request, anything can be made vegan.
